He often plays wise cracking heroes in anime and video games and he is also a wisecracker in real life. He is extremely well versed in anime, video games, and associated pop culture and often makes numerous pop cultural references on radio shows and interviews, many of which go over his fellow workers' heads. He hosts a program called Tokyo Encounter where he plays video games and cracks jokes with his fellow seiyuu/best friend Nakamura Yuuichi. He is also fond of imitating Wakamoto Norio's distinctive voice. Besides voice acting, he has also worked on the doujin fighting game Getsuei Academy and also came up with the design for the Blazblue character Nishiki Amane.
